In keeping with the Oakridge CBSE track record of excellent results achieved in the previous years, in the board examinations held in 2011-12 , all the 21 students of our first batch of CBSE Class X have come out with flying colours.The School has registered 100% pass.
2 students secured a CGPA of (10/10)
11 students secured a CGPA between (9 to 9.9)
4 students secured a CGPA between (8 to 8.9)
3 students secured a CGPA between (7 to 7.9)
1 student secured a CGPA between (6 to 6.9)
As a part of "Live Your Dream" programme - students met Mr. Alex Bennit, Architect & Interior Decorator, Mr.Ameet, Mirpuri interior designer and Dr. Pallavi, gynecologist in the last week of March.
Children of class II went for a field trip to Suraksha a handmade paper unit at chapaluppada village, Bhimli Mandal which is a mutually aided cooperative society ltd. It is a nonprofit organization . The visit was to understand the process of making hand made products from cotton waste.
Children of classes III, IV & V had a session on Abacus Brain Development Program conducted by Rama Devi on 20-3-12. This workshop helped the children to understand the concept of Abacus, and explained how our Neurons work and functions of Right and Left Brain. Students learnt about memory development, concentration, creativity, visualization, listening skills, learning ability, self confidence, speed & accuracy and decision making. OIS students Rishyanth (Class III B) and Rakshith (Class II B) demonstrated addition and subtraction through Abacus. Children were amazed to see different skills and enjoyed the session and understood about the functions of right and left brain.
Children from class III, IV & V went to Y.S.R.Cricket Stadium on 19 March 2012. They were privileged to see Australia v/s India women cricket match and got a chance to meet the players. They were excited to watch a live match.
The students of Class X, returned from the river rafting & Haridwar trip much rejuvenated and excited after their wonderful experience. They honed their leadership and team building skills on this adventure.
